Busy as beavers...

Well Internet, let me just say that this last week I've just been bushed and haven't done anything on the drawing table since my last post.  My work schedule changed, I've been out after work, and my mental, some would say otherworldly, balance isn't quite where it needs to be.

But does that mean I haven't been at working in secret, making myself better?  NAY!  I've a few behind the scenes things going on that I will be a part of, or am a part of.

Let me just let you in on this...

This is a production company that my friend started, and that I am a part of.  Visit his site here and watch his commercial posted above.

Soon this February, PKP Films will also be doing a monthly or bi-monthly podcast that the members, and others, will be doing, discussing upcoming projects, giving reviews on films, music, games, comics, whatever comes to mind.  While it's a way for us to de-stress, and unwind, it will most definitely be entertaining.  So tune into that.

On the subject of pod casts, there may be something else in the works as well.  Come back for more info on that later, Internet.

AND, if you haven't guessed it already from the sketches I've been posting, that I'm also working on a comic book with another gifted writer friend of mine.  I got the first draft of the first issue last night and it's good.  Real good.  Hopefully I can keep up with my end, because the writing chops on this one is something fierce.

Now this is the part where I whore everyone out that I already mentioned, or secretly, silently mentioned above.  Follow these people.  You may be glad you did.

Also, continue to read mine and follow me.  Do it before time eats itself into the past and we're all baby people.

Deuces!

Truce

So this isn't a drawing I did today, but it's one I've had around for a couple months now.  It's been one that I've wanted to get cleaned up and make prints of eventually.  I've just needed a way to scan the thing.  And now, finally, that I have a operable scanner, BEHOLD!

Now since my last post, I've tuned up my coloring techniques and practiced on a bunch of other stuff just lying around, so hopefully I can post it full color somewhere, where it can be purchased.  But I'm not sure where that could be.

If any of you know a good place where I can post this when it's done, just let me know.  I need to make some much needed Internet money.

Also as a side note, the EPSON tech support number is the worst thing to ever happen in the world.

Dabble in da doodles

Hello again Internet.  So for a while I've been working on a project with a friend of mine.  We don't have anything concrete started yet, but we're on the right track to something really good I think.  I've been stuck on this idea since high school, and I needed to get it out.  But, I needed the help.  With her help, we've come up with things that I would have NEVER come up with on my own.  And it's made this brewing story something more.  Something better.  I don't want to spew the deets out here, I'd rather have you see it from whence it comes out.

I posted previously, sketches of a hooded figure, but didn't use any reference for anything.  Well today, I decided to buck down and do something better.  Got some reference shots and everything.

I hope you like it Internet.

I'll also try at coloring this guy today too.  Stay tuned!

EDITED:

NOW IN COLOR!!!

I realized while doing the coloring for this guy, I mos def have to touch up on my Photoshop skills.  I had to start over like 5 times.  That and the version I learned it on was like 6 years and 47 versions ago.

NERRRRRDS!!!

Okay Internet, I'm sort of a nerd.  Not like Lewis Skolnick or anything.  I just like what I like.  And that happens to be comics, and all that geeky stuff that's cool now.  BUT I ASSURE YOU, I liked them before they were cool.  But it's not like you care, Internet.  You're a machine.  You have no emotion.  Just trillions of pages of porn.

So I've got, not a huge one, but a substantial collection that I'm proud of and they are proudly on display in my living room.  Well the other day I looked at it and decided that I need to redo it.  I've bought and received more books and toys and DVDs since I've moved in, roughly 5 years ago, and now things were just spilling over.  That, and the Ol' Lady, likes to put her shit on there too.  That was remedied, btw.  So, what I thought would be a simple dusting of figures and shelves and reorganizing, took all...damn...DAY.  And since it took me that long, and I put all this effort to do it, I'm posting it here to show you, Internet.

Enjoy.

Here is my entire book collection in its entirety.

Galactus summons you to read!

Two epic bromances, guard the DC shelf.

Hellboy would like to tell you to "CHECK YOSELF"!

Spider-Man is literally holding on to Venom's hand.  I don't know how it even stays like this.  But it's my favorite part of the collection.  And it's also better than the various sex positions my old roommate would put them in everyday.  Because that's what I want to see when I get home, someone has gone through my things and there is Spider-Man in a 69 with Venom.

I like my little Hall of Armor.

I have this display on top of a cabinet.  It was just happenstance that I received a glass head and gun.  But I applaud whoever gave them to me.

Here's all my hero DVDs.  I had to make a shelf for them mostly because I was invading the space of Under the Tuscan Sun and Love Actually.

And I do have more comics as well.  They are on loan to my brother and other patrons of my library.  I told them to return them so I could make sure they all fit on my shelves, but they didn't.  They are made of pure evil.  Withholding S.O.B.s.  I shouldn't say that, my mother's a nice lady.

Until next time Internet!

Sketching a bit...

These were just tiny little sketches I did while watching TV.  The hooded figure is a character I've been working on with a good friend.  I should have used a reference, but...I didn't.  And well Frankenstein's monster is kick ass.  Plus has something to do with the hooded character I'm working on.  Once I get my new scanner up and running to its full potential, I'll put some of my larger finished stuff up.

Two posts in one day?  Believe it Internet.

First!

So I finally got with it, and started one of these.  My intent is to have a thought or sketch up once a week, (permitting) to showcase myself.  NO LONGER will I spend my days wasting away in my cat infested (2 fat felines) apartment, doing nothing.  I must do this.  For the sake of the Internet.
